Bettis and Miss Fannie Peterkin were married Monday evening at four o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Mr. R. P. Johnson at Saint James Episcopal Church, Tallulah, Louisiana. Mr. Bettis is a native of Madison Parish, and is a leading and popular business man who will receive congratulations of a host of friends upon his good fortune. Miss Peterkin is a young lady of many accomplishments and deservedly popular in the social affairs of the parish. A large number of relatives and friends were present at the ceremony to advise them a happy and prosperous future. The young couple will be at home to their friends at Huon Plantation, where they will reside.
