All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Cason-Fortner Wedding - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal September 26, 1925 CASON-FORTNER A marriage of much interest occurred Monday evening when Miss Ellen Cason and Mr. Douglas Fortner were joined in holy matrimony. They motored to Rayville, where they were joined by friends and they went to the Methodist Parsonage where a sweet ceremony was said by the Methodist minister. Mr. Richard Almond, an old friend of the family in Tallulah, acted as best man. After the ceremony the happy couple motored to Monroe where they spent several days. On their return to Tallulah they went to their new home at Briars plantation. Both parties are well known and have a host of friends here, as they were great social favorites. They endeared themselves in the school here and will be missed.
