La., when Miss Renabel Martha Boney of Tallulah. and Mr. David Eldred Holt of Lake Providence were united in marriage with Bishop Theodore D. Bratton of Jackson officiating with only members of the immediate families in attendance. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kinsey Boney, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Holt of Mobile. Charming simplicity marked the nuptial rites while the couple knelt in the soft glow of the altar candles surrounded by baskets of fragrant roses artistically arranged by the loving hands of friends, with Bishop Britton reading the ritualistic ceremony in a most impressive manner. Rev. Girault Jones of Pass Christian, served as best man, and Mrs. Will Sevier, Jr., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an attractive tailleur of wool crepe in a deep shade of blue with accessories in lovely harmony. The bride, a young woman of unusual ability and winning personality is a graduate of Sea Pines college in Boston. She was at one time bacteriologist in Ottawa, Illinois, going from there to New York City where she was in the employ of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in their biochemical laboratories, later devoting her time to the New York Life Insurance company. The groom, the beloved and popular rector of the Episcopal churches In Lake Providence and Tallulah, is a graduate of the University of the South at Sewanee, Tenn., and is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served in the World war and is a chaplain in the American Legion. He was rector of the church at Woodville, Miss. and at Chattanooga, Tenn., before his present appointment. Many lovely wedding gifts evidenced the esteem in which they are held by their friends. The happy couple left immediately after the ceremony for a honeymoon trip to Denver by automobile, where Rev. Holt will attend the Episcopal General convention to he held there on the 15th of this month. They will be at home to their friends October in Lake Providence.
