James Knighten
A resident of Greensburg, he departed this life Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at his home. He was 82.

Religious service at Pipken Chapel AME Church, off La. 38, Greensburg,LA.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Almeta Knighten; a son, Melvin Knighten, of New Orleans; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,

four sisters, Pearl K. Glass, of Greensburg, Yvonne K. Hurst, of Greenwell Springs, Reola Charleston, of Chicago, and Imogene Watts,
of Phoenix; a brother, Jarrie P. Knighten, of Chicago;

two stepchildren, Juanita Hitchens and Loretta Smith, both of Baton Rouge; two loving and devoted nieces, Patrinella and Dorothy Knighten, both of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
