A native of Gramercy and a resident of Lutcher, she died at 10:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Lakeland Medical Center, New Orleans. She was 86. Visiting at New Zion Baptist Church, Gramercy, from 9 a.m. Friday until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Emil D. Mitchell. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Paulina. A resident of Hester, he died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his home. He was 64 and a native of Lutcher. He was a retired engineering aid with 30 years of service with IMC Agrico, Convent, and worked for seven years as a field engineer with St. James Parish until last Friday. He was of the Catholic faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Amedee Kliebert and Edith Lasserre Kliebert. Ray was a historian and died with a broad knowledge of both local and American history. He was a "jack of all trades" and extremely creative and talented. He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was extremely fond of the family pet, Cami. Howard "Stump" Ramagos is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dolores Hidalgo Ramagos. He is also survived by his sister: Aline Newberry. He is also survived by his daughter, Rhonda Louque; and his two sons: Rocky Ramagos and Pernell Ramagos. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Emily Ramagos; 4 brothers: Jay, Earl, Patchy, and Sammy Ramagos; and sister, Shirley Ramagos. He was a retiree from Local 406 where he served as an operator for 50 years. His body was donated to Tulane's willed body program. Due to his wishes, no viewing services will be held.

She was a retired teacher and principal of Lutcher High School Girls Division. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur Woods and Deborah Smith Reynaud; and grandson and his wife, David Fuqua and Nicole Fassbender Reynaud. She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Reynaud; parents, Durald Fuqua Woods and Emma Booth Woods; grandson, William Brooks Reynaud; and granddaughter, Ellen Woods Reynaud. Firmin Reynaud

FIRMIN REYNAUD BURIAL THURSDAY - Noted Sugar and Tobacco Planter; Banker Dies At Lutcher
Firmin Reynaud, prominent sugar and tobacco planter, merchant and banker of St. James parish, died at his home in Lutcher, La., early Wednesday morning, at the age of 70 years. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence in Lutcher, and serices will be held in St. Joseph's church at Paulina, La. The active pall bearers will be the six sons of the deceased, Raoul, Oscar, Albert, Raymond, Sidney and George Reynaud. The honorary pallbearers will be Emile Blanc, Norbert Einckley, R. P. Woods, A. G. Gearherd, Joseph Gebelin, Jean Rassat, Frank Chauvin, L. Keller, L. Waguespack, F. Graugnard and A. Faucheux. At the time of his death, Mr. Reynaud was president of the Gary State Bank, of Garyville, La., and president of the St. James Perique Tobacco Company, which he organized. He was considered to be largely responsible for the establishment of the present worldwide market for perique tobacco grown in St. James parish. Mr. Reynaud was born in Lubac, Commune des Basses Alpes, March 9, 1857. He came to the United States at the age of 15. He began business in Lutcher as a small merchant, and later rose to prominence in agricultural and banking pursuits. In 1904 he established the St. James Bank and Trust Company, the first bank in St. James parish. Besides his six sons, Mr. Reynaud is survived by his wife, who was Miss Josephine Gebelin, and two daughters, Miss Adele Reynaud, of Lutcher, and Mrs. Norbert Hinckley of New Orleans.

Betty (Babin) Richard

July 29, 1933 - December 28, 2020
Betty Babin Richard, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 28, 2020. Betty was a loving and compassionate wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family. Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband Jay Richard who gave her a lifetime of happiness. Betty was a sweet soul with a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be tremendously missed by her family. She leaves behind her four children, Rhonda Wagoner, Michael (Joanne), Bryant (Dina), and Gay Lynn Matherne (Ronnie). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, LeAnn, Ryan, Ellen, Neil, Natalie, Rusty, Heidi, Allie, Erin, Alex and Mallori and seventeen great-grandchildren who affectionately knew her as Mea Mea. She is also survived by two siblings, Emilie Keller and Stanley Babin (Barbara). Betty was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Inez Bourgeois Babin, brothers Michael and Joseph and sisters Margie Babin, Joyce Trosclair and Inez Tucker. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Irving "Jay" Richard

Irving "Jay" Richard, born on February 25, 1928, passed away on November 9, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. He was a native and resident of Lutcher, LA. He was a warm-hearted, generous, and gentle man; a lover of life and intensely devoted to his family and friends. Irving was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Air Force. He retired from Shell Oil Company after 38 years of service. He will be greatly missed by many. Palmyre Kroll Richard, 86, a resident of Gramercy, died Feb. 9, 1999. She was the wife of the late Amedee "Rich" Richard and mother of Dwain, Carl and Barry Richard. Mary (Buras) Richarme

Mrs. Davis Richarme Succumbs in Orleans
New Orleans, Jan. 13 (AP) - Mrs. Davis Richarme, widow of the late legislator from St. James parish who was for years a recognized leader in the general assembly, died here today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Martha Delaune, in Orleans parkway. Mrs. Richarme, 70, survived her husband by about a year. She succumbed to a stroke suffered on last New Year's day. Funeral services were delayed pending the arrival in the city of some of her children. Five sons and three daughters survive, including Joseph Richarme, Long Beach, Cal.; John of Atlanta, Ga.; James and Thomas of Norco; Logan, of Jefferson parish; Mrs. Delaune, Mrs. I. J. Shubert and Lillian Richarme, all of New Orleans. The late Representattive Richarme served for years as chirman of the house ways and means committee.

Gwendolyn Dupuy Rizzuto, age 69, was born on June 28, 1947 and passed away on February 9, 2017. She was a native of Lutcher, LA and a resident of Paulina, LA. She is survived by her Mother, Zula Singletary Dupuy; children: Lynnette Whitney (Jeff), Alison Poche (Marty), and Seth Rizzuto (Jenn); brothers and sisters: James Dupuy (Florence), Timothy Dupuy, Lynnette Hidalgo (Bryant), Patricia Rizzuto (Frank), and Mary Kathleen Chambless (Philliip) as well as her grandchildren: Kymber, Jacie, Rhett, Payton, Kristen, Zack, Gabriel, and Luke. She was a nurse for 40+ years, enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, outings with friends, and reading. She is preceded in death by her husband John B. Rizzuto, her father, Russell J. Dupuy, and brother Patrick Dupuy. Margaret "Peggy" Thompson Robert, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Paulina passed away at the age of 59 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Ray "Chip" Robert, Jr.; her mother Barbara Terry Thompson, and her children, Sarah Robert and fiancé Darren, and Gary Robert. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Thompson and her sister Barbara Terry Thompson. She was a Speech-Language Pathologist for many years at the Veteran's Home in Reserve, LA. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Katherine "Kat" Robichaux, a native and resident of Paulina, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 78. After graduating Charity school of Nursing, she spent 45 years giving care and comfort to the sick. She strove to walk in the light of the Lord and bring that light to those in need. May she rest peacefully in His arms with her beloved dog Mitzi and all the resplendent colors of Heaven. Beatrice Schexnayder Roques a native of Paulina, LA and lifelong resident of Lutcher, LA, passed away on to her final resting place to be with her husband on June 6th, 2019 at the age of 95. She is survived by three sons, Nelson Jr. (Juanita), Lynn (Tina), Keith (Angie); daughter, Mary Millet (Dean); 12 grandchildren, Danielle, Tanya, Darin, Michele, Vickie, Dean, Chad, Dana, Travis, Katy, Samuel and Cecile. Beatrice is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Roques Sr.; son, Brent Roques; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann; parents, Stanley Sr. and Augustine Schexnayder; brothers, Stanley Jr. (Lillian), and George (Deloris); sisters, Stelma Laiche (Burris) and Loretta St. Pierre (Lois). Beatrice was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, making candy and in her later years she enjoyed traveling by motor home and going on casino trips. She was a member of St. Anne's Alter Society. Beatrice had a special love for her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. September 27, 1948 - January 28, 2012
Brent Joseph Roques, a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many died at his home on Jan. 28, 2012 surrounded by his family. He began his life long journey of many challenges on Sept. 27, 1948 with cerebral palsy, however after numerous medical procedures he was able to walk, but not without difficulty. He received a high school diploma through home correspondence. He opened his own business, R & R Records, and achieved great success until the onslaught of big business. He became president of the local Jaycees and once again a great accomplishment. He studied and repaired small engines with great success until the present. Last but not least he was a huge fan of the Lutcher Bulldogs, a member of the Lutcher Quarter Back Club, and an avid L S U Tiger fan. The family wishes to extend heart-felt thanks to Poche Medical Clinic, St. James Hospital, Oschner Hospital, and River Region Hospice for the wonderful care Brent received during his illness. Also special thanks to the clergy of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Brent will be remembered for the gift of Love. Nelson L. Roques Sr., a native of Paulina, LA and a lifelong resident of Lutcher, LA passed away to his final resting place on March 26, 2019 at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Beatrice Schexnayder Roques; sons, Nelson Roques, Jr. (Juanita), Lynn Roques (Tina), Keith Roques (Angie); daughter, Mary R. Millet (Dean); 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Maurice Roques and one sister-in-law, Nancy Roques. He was preceded in death by his son Brent Roques; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann; parents, Alban and Aline Roques; brothers, Theophile Roques (Linda), Pascal Roques (Lucille), Achille Roques (Ann) and Alban Roques Jr.; sisters, Sister Mary Juliana O.P., Theresa Miley (Bruce), Irene Bourgeois (Nolan) and one sister-in-law, Marion Roques. Nelson joined the Navy after high school where he took part in numerous Naval exercises and attended a number of colleges including Notre Dame (his boy hood dream). He graduated at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He was employed by Shell Oil Co. in Norco for 37+ years until retirement in 1984. Nelson enjoyed woodworking, traveling by motor home, talking French (when he found a partner), and listening to LSU football and baseball in his retirement years. None of Nelson's hobbies surpassed his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Norvin Joseph Rose

On Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, Norvin Joseph Rose answered God's call to follow him to his new heavenly home. He passed peacefully at 1:45 a.m. at River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace. Born in Chackbay on Nov. 17, 1932, Norvin was a lifelong resident of Lutcher. He is a retiree of Kaiser Aluminum, a lifetime member of L.P.G. Hunting Club on Blind River, a deputy for the town of Lutcher and served in the U. S. Army. Norvin is survived by his teenage sweetheart and devoted wife of 56 years, Marilyn K. Rose; and their four adoring children and their spouses, Clyde and Reneé Rose, Amanda Cantillo, Kirk and Linda Rose all of Lutcher, and Jason Rose and partner Bill Dyer, of Texas. Also known as "Paw-Paw," he is survived by four grandchildren, Ashley Harrell, Seth and Tyler Rose, and Michael Cantillo; and one great-granddaughter, Payton Harrell. Norvin is also survived by one brother, E. J. Rose, of Vacherie. Norvin was preceded in death by his loving parents, Wilbert and Euginie Rose, of Chackbay. Lois Rote, a resident of Paulina, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the age of 85. She is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Rose Mae (Troxclair) Rouillier

Rose Mae Troxclair Rouillier, age 92, was born on December 16, 1927 and passed away on April 24, 2020. She is a native of Mt. Airy and a resident of Gramercy, LA. She is survived by her son Allen "Petey" Rouillier Jr.; her grandchildren, Tricia Rouillier, Natalie Foret (Kenneth) and Lindsey Swinford (Dustin); her great-grandchildren, Denise, Alex, Ethan, Jace, Madison, and Margaret; her siblings, Jean Troxclair Jr., Beverly Willis, and Harrison Troxclair. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Allen Rouillier Sr., her parents: Jean Troxclair, Sr. and Florence Torres Troxclair and brothers, Prudent (PJ), Larry, and Curtis Troxclair. Rose retired from Lutcher Elementary School as secretary. She was a devout Catholic and loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She could often be found spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose was comical, as she kept us wondering her next move until the very end. Most of all, she loved her family to the fullest and instilled in them her strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank the staff at Audubon Health and Rehab, Thibodaux and the medical staff who cared for her at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Adele Roussel, age 89, wife for 45 years of the late Marcel Roussel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her daughter's residence with family members at her side. Antoinette "Toni" Roussel died at her residence in Baton Rouge on May 25, 2012, on her 54th wedding anniversary. She was 88 years of age. Toni was a native of Gramercy and a graduate from Lutcher High School, where she was a majorette and a member of the girls basketball team. She was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. In addition, she volunteered at her children's schools. Toni is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dr. Joseph "Buddy" Roussel; her son, Fabian Roussel & his wife Monique; her daughter, Alana R. Vaughn & husband Eddie; her grandsons, Robert Vaughn and Ryan Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mary Clark Puccio. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Agnes Hughes Goodfellow and sister of Camille Weesen and Mary Alice Voss. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She attended the University of Colorado and graduated from LSU in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She was a charter member of the St. James Historical Society and the St. James Community Theatre, organist and choir member for more than 20 years and volunteer pianist at the Riverland Health Care Center. Services were Jan. 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed bus trips, vacations, crocheting and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Raymond Roussel Sr.; children, Angela Gautreau (Blaine), Vanessa Fontenot (Terry), Raegan Roussel, Janell Keller (Jimmy) and Paul Roussel Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren, Cody Martin, Jenna Gautreau, Gregory Johnson (Halie), Matthew Johnson, Chase Keller (Courtney), Cade Keller, Jaime Keller, Kaylee Roussel and Kelsey Roussel; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Montelius (Jackie) and Gilbert Montelius; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Carolyn Bourgeois, Linda and Jack Poche and Tina and Anthony Lear. Ellis Roussel, the first born, to the late Roger and Effie Roussel, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008. He came into this world July 5, 1929, a native of Belmont, and was a resident of Lutcher for 48 years. Visitation will be at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., in Lutcher, on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Monday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Carville and the Rev. Frank Uter. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina. He served the St. James Parish school system in many ways: as a teacher, coach, principal, supervisor and superintendent. In 1988, he retired as superintendent of the St. James Parish school system. He then served as the principal of the St. James Parish Detention Center until his retirement in 2000. Hennis Joseph Roussel Jr.

Hennis Joseph Roussel Jr., 46, of Gramercy, LA, died on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital from a brief illness. Hennis was born on January 14, 1971 to Hennis and DeAnna Roussel. He went to Lutcher High School and graduated in 1989. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University and most recently his Masters in Education. Hennis began his teaching career at Lutcher High School in 1997. Over his 20 year teaching tenure he touched the lives of many; not only of his students, but their parents and his co-workers. Outside of his professional career, he enjoyed many things, such as genealogy, history and football; but his true passion was mentoring young men and women through his FCA leadership role. Hennis will be remembered mostly for being a Man of God and for the love of his family; especially his niece and nephews. PAULINA - Lucille Lambert Roussel, 95, a native of Convent and resident of Lutcher, died May 26. She was the wife of the late Adolph Roussel and mother of Camille Cambre and J.D. "Buddy" and Kenneth Roussel. She was also the daughter of the late Honore and Maria Caillouet Lambert and sister of the late Maude Hardie, May Poche, Odile Brignac and George, Allen and Alcee Lambert. She is survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild. Ovide J. Roussel Jr., 82, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011, at River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served in the Marine Reserves. Richard J. Roussel

Richard J. Roussel passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 83 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 21, 1937. He loved fishing and gardening, vegetables and tobacco. He was a great lawnmower repair man. Richard was a school bus driver for St. James Parish. He also worked for Kaiser Aluminum for over 30 years. He was the first elected fire chief for the Paulina, Grand Point, Belmont Fire Department. He was also a member of LHS Quarterback Club for 40 years. He was a member of SOAR for Kaiser retirees and cooked for many meetings and functions. He leaves behind his wife, Theresa "T" LeBlanc Roussel of 63 years and the rest of his wonderful, caring, and loving family including his son, Keith Michael Roussel; five daughters, Rhonda R. Roper (Neil), Sandra R. Babin (Billy), Tammy R. Hymel (Brett), Dana R. Poche and Nadine R. Louviere; 12 grandchildren, Jordan Babin (Jodi), Matthew Hymel, Jeremy Roper (Meghann), Adam Babin (Brandi), Jonathan Roper (Jessica), Brooke Michel (Ryan), Monique Falgoust (Derek), Caleb Poche (Amy), Michelle Guidry (Jeremy), Dustin Roper (Ashley), Montana Hymel (Brie), Brandi Zeringue (Caleb) and Lindsey Galley (Matt); and 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Arlene R. Hymel (A.J.) and Joyce R. Luquette (Darnell); brothers-in-law, Dudley LeBlanc (Ronnie), Jimmy LeBlanc (Liz), Jessie LeBlanc (Robbin) and Terry LeBlanc (Gretchen) and Aubrey St. Pierre; and one sister-in-law, Linda Poche. Rita Lambert Roussel passed away on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and life long resident of Convent for 96 years. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Hudson Joseph Roussel of Hester; Rita is survived by her sons Mervin and his wife Jeanette of Reserve and Leonard and his wife Nancy of Convent; nephew, Walter Lambert, Sr. and his wife Wanda of Lutcher. Rita was the loving grandmother of Preston Stiles (Kim), Shane Roussel (Selina), Renee Roussel LeGleu (Ray), Hudson Roussel, and Jason Roussel (Jennifer). She had 11 great grandkids; Shane Jr., A.J., Alexis, Skyler, Payton, Gavin, Gabe, Sophie, Andrew, Justice, and Noah. She was blessed with 2 great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Elijah. She also had 3 step grandchlldren: Lauren, Hailey, and Cory. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha Dupepe and Laurent Lambert; her only daughter, Martha Roussel Stiles, her sister Adeline Lambert Poche and brothers: Malcom, Romain, Juste, Eusebe, Gatson, Willis, Freddie, and Lawrence Lambert. She made everyone joyous with her love to dance and singing a little song. Rita was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church and a member of the Altar Society. To those who knew her, Rita was caring, kind, and immaculately neat. On January 9, Rita Simpson Roussel, born January 7, 1929, closed her eyes for the last time. She was the proud bearer of four sons: Douglas (Sheila), Kevin, Kim/Bo (Melanie), Todd/ZB (Sandy), and one daughter, Mindy (John Kelly). Her full time occupation included: nurse, accountant, chef, domestic engineer, and sanitary specialist serving those mentioned above and her husband of 44 years, the late Earl (Y.O.) Roussel. She enjoyed babysitting for her favorite clients, the 12 Roussel Grands: Chad, Tiffany, Seth, Marc, Jeffrey, Haley, Corey, Ryan, Troy, Brennon, Adam, Shea, and 3 Coulon Grands: Cody, Dusty, and Abbey and when time and health allowed, 15 great grands were tended to also. She gave to her family countless special memories at the "Annual Roussel Beach Vacation" including the "Family Duck Dance", and "Mullet Dive Challenge". Her family wishes to thank all who provided care. We also wish to express gratitude for the good life which God has bestowed upon her. Roland Joseph Roussel, 87, was born on March 6, 1921, in Belmont. Smith, Heidi Roussel, Doyle Roussel Jr., Vincent Patterson Jr., Danielle Roussel, Celeste Roussel, Michael Roussel, Ashley Roussel, Dustin Roussel, Alyson Roussel and Matthew Roussel; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Hymel Roussel; parents, Richard Sr. and Denise Fabre Roussel; three brothers, Richard Jr., Ernest Sr. and Garland Roussel Sr.; and a sister, Marie Diane Roussel. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. To many she was "Noonie Babe" and to others as "Ms. Miko". She managed Miko's Seafood in Lutcher for 35 years and loved every minute of it. It was her passion. She loved each and everyone who walked through the door and always said "Thank You Sha" and "come back". Violet (Louque) Roussel

Violet Louque "MeMe" Roussel, 88, of Lutcher, LA died on Sunday, June 25, 2017, peacefully surrounded by her seven children. Violet was born on February 22, 1929 and lived her life raising her children in Lutcher. She spent the last four years in Monroe, LA close to her daughter, but her heart was always in St. James Parish. MeMe and Gingo were sole proprietors of Red & White grocery store in Lutcher which later became Roussel's A & G. They worked hard and served their community well. There were many times she fed families that didn't have the means to pay. She served on the Board of Directors at St. James Bank for many years and played a huge role in the development of recreation sports in St. James Parish. Meme was loyal to her community and had a love for her children and family that was unmatchable. She loved dancing, sewing, cooking, and had an undeniable love for sports. She was so passionate about her team that she could often be found heckling the umpires from the stands above. She was her team's one run advantage even on the road. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and administration of The Oaks Nursing Home in Monroe, Louisiana. They provided excellent care for her and loved her just like she was family. Solange (Martin) Roussel Faucheux

Solange M. Roussel Faucheux, age 84, was born on March 13, 1929 and passed away on November 3, 2013. She was a native of Paulina, LA and a resident of Gramercy, LA. She was the beloved Mother of: Carey Roussel (Jane), Danny Roussel (Sue), Ronald "Toodie" Roussel (Vanessa), Morgan Roussel IV, Mickey Roussel (Sonya), Step-daughter, Linda Bush (Shayne). She is also survived by her sisters: Hazel Martin Simon, and Wilhemina Martin Heltz, and a brother, Michel Martin, Jr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father, Michel Martin, Sr.; Mother, Virginia Deslatte Martin; 1st Husband, Morgan Roussel III; 2nd husband, Ferducie "Pat" Faucheux, and brothers: Harry Martin, Sr., and Earl Martin. Visitation will be at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 8:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ella Anne Roussell, A Retired St. James Parish Public Health Nurse, Died Tuesday At St. James Parish Hospital. She Was 81. Ms. Roussell Was Born In Garyville And Lived In Gramercy For The Past 75 Years. She Was A Graduate Of Lutcher High School, Charity Hospital Nursing School And Louisiana State University Medical School. She Was A Former First Lieutenant In The Army Nursing Corps. She Was A Parishioner Of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, A Member Of The American Association Of Retired Persons And A Former Member Of The Three Ell's Club. Survivors Include A Brother, Raymond Roussell Of Baton Rouge; And Three Sisters, Milda Matherne Of Baker, Eunice Breaud Of Arlington, Texas, And Elsie Ordeneaux. A Mass Will Be Said Friday At 11 A.M. At Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 616 Main St., Gramercy. Burial Will Be In St. Joseph Mausoleum In Paulina. Alexander Funeral Home Is In Charge Of Arrangements.

Brenda (Webre) Rouyea

Brenda Webre Rouyea, 57, born Oct. 10, 1947, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at 8:30 a.m. She was a native of Gramercy and a resident of Paulina. Mrs. Rouyea is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Cindy Rouyea and Jason and Vena Rouyea; a daughter and son-in-law, Buffy and Scott Villeneuve; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Thomas, Joseph and Warren Webre; and two sisters, Margaret Savoie and Connie Bye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Eva Tregre Webre; two brothers, Carroll Webre Sr. and Nelson Webre Sr.; and a sister, Jeanette Webre. Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, from 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
