Arthur Brent Huffman II, a self-employed mechanic, died Tuesday of kidney failure at St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling. He was 23. Mrs. Huffman was born in Hammond and lived in LaPlace. Mrs. Jouty, the former Maria Lucille Labranche, died at her residence at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. She was 68 years old. Godfrey Keating, age 89, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2013. A resident of Norco, La for 57 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine Bergeron Keating. Judy Oubre LaFountain passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in her home at the age of 79. She was a life long resident of Reserve, LA. Judy was a homemaker and an avid supporter of Riverside Academy. She is preceded in death by her parents Armond Joseph Oubre and Belle Canova Elfer. As well as her husband Harold Joseph LaFountain, her oldest son Armond Paul LaFountain, and her brother Ricky Peter Oubre. She is survived by her three children: Jeffery LaFountain (Eve), Harold "Duna" LaFountain (Kambra), and Melissa "Missy" LaFountain Clement (Thad). Also survived by her brother Joseph Oubre (Mary) and sister Gloria Hotard (late Gerald). She also leaves to cherish her memory eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Ernest Lagane

Thursday, February 28, died on the left bank Ernest Lagane, at the age of about 32 years. Mr. Lagane, who was for many years in commerce, had long suffered from one of those diseases that leave little hope, and gradually the disease from which he suffered led him to the grave. He was generally esteemed, and his death was mourned by a host of friends. He leaves a widow and two children.

Charles "Sleepy" Richard passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the age of 86. He was a native of Reserve, a resident of Springfield, LA for 22 years and more recently he resided at the S.E. LA War Veterans Home in Reserve, LA. Charles was a W.W. II Veteran where he served in the 11th Airborn Division as a paratrooper while stationed in Japan. He was a union carpenter, was employed for Godchaux Sugar Refinery for 10 years, and finished his career as a carpenter. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He loved to hunt, fish and play his bass guitar more recently with the River Rats. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Simoneaux Richard. Loving father of David Richard (Dee Dee), Roger Richard (Lois), Terry Richard (Kathy), Kent Richard, Kitty R. Villeret (Mike) and the late Marsha Roussel (Gary Sr.). Grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
