Today we celebrate the life of Chris J. Terrio who passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 74. A longtime resident of Reserve and a loved husband, father, PawPaw, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He was a beloved husband of 52 years to Debra LeBlanc Terrio. Loving father of Ron Terrio (Mechelle), Kris Lowry (Bruce). Devoted PawPaw of Piper Terrio, Cohen Lowry and Ava Lowry. Siblings Jimmy Terrio, Diane Campos (Jose'), Charles Terrio (Cathy), Donald "Cookie" Terrio, Lillian LeBlanc (Joseph). Preceded in death by his parents Rosalie Cancienne Terrio and Larry Terrio. Chris was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his hunting and fishing seasons, as well as gardening. He was also a talented woodworker creating anything his family asked of him just by a picture or drawing. His shop, if the door was opened, was a welcoming place for family and friends to stop and talk, have a drink and hold a monthly supper and card game. He also enjoyed cooking, traveling with family and friends but most of all keeping his grandchildren entertained. A private family burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Funeral services for Mrs. August Thibodaux, Sr., of LaPlace, who died at 7 a.m. Thursday, were held at 2 p.m. Friday with religious rites at St. Peter church in Reserve and interment in the church's cemetery. Mrs. Thibodaux, the former Josephine Tabor, was 92 years old. She is survived by a son, August Thibodaux, Jr., of Larose; a daughter, Mrs. Willie Pitre of Laplace, 10 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and 51 great-great-grandchildren.
