PENNY FAMILY OF THE PLAINS, EAST FELICIANA
Penny Midboe
pennymidboe@erols.com
01/03/00
I am looking for information on JAMES PENNY and his descendants. He owned land in the Plains in 1803 and his wife was the sister of Sarah Parish Kennard of Natchez who was married to Abraham Lobdell. According to my records James Penny still owned land in E. Feliciana when he died in 1840, but I believe the family was also associated with East Baton Rouge Parish. From disputed land claims I think that JAMES PENNY'S children were: ELIZABETH STANARD(sp?), ROBERT PENNY, ALBERT PENNY (my ancestor who married SARAH A.WESTON 12/21/1830 in East Feliciana- then CELIA ADAMS in Pointe Coupee, then ELEANORA BROWN in Rapides), JOSEPH PENNY, NANCY SLOAN, DAVID PENNY, and LUCY SKOLFIELD. If you have information on this family, please contact me at pennymidboe@erols.com
