I am searching for the parents of Ann Eliza Keller born about 1829 and married 2-20-1845 in St. Landry Parish to Walter Kenedy (Canady). Her father was George Keller who died Oct 21, 1863 per the family Bible. The marriage bond shows George to be from St. Landry Parish but he is not found in the census in that Parish. Looking for information on Jeremiah THROWER. We've found out he died in Feliciana Parish (do not know which side) April 3,1815. A John SSTWEART asked to be his administrator. At the time of his death, we believe his wife and son were living in GA. From the information, it looks like he was working for the United States--possibly in the military. The information states he was an overseer for John STEWART's farm and that he died of Quinsey in the service of the United States. Any help on this THROWER family would be greatly appreciated.

My grandfather's name was Homer Cecil Doughty. He married Emma Scott 30 Jan.,1896. Homer Doughty's father was named Alexander SCOTT Doughty. I wonder if there is any genealogical connection between Scott, my grandmother's maiden name and Scott, her father- in-law's middle name. I cannot find anything but maybe somebody can connect the two Scotts who have no obvious genealogical connection. It has bothered me but I realize it is not an earth-shaking conundrum. Sincerely and thanks,

BROWN

My g-g-g- grandfather was Reddin Brown (a War of 1812 veteran) who died on 25 August 1844 in East Feliciana Parish. My understanding is that he is buried in the Brown Family Cemetery along with a number of other ancestors of mine. According to a distant cousin, the directions to this cemetery are: go east of Clinton on the Greensburg highway to Hatcher's Store, then make a right turn on a gravel road, drive to a fork in the road, turn right, and then the cemetery is about one mile away on the right. My understanding is that the present landowner is unwilling to allow people to visit the Brown Cemetery. Does anyone know if the cemetery is indeed unable to be visited at this time? And just for my records, are the above directions correct? I live in Oklahoma and would like to visit the cemetery sometime--if possible. Thank you so much for any help!
