State of Louisiana In the 21st Judicial District Court
Parish of Iberville Iberville Parish, Louisiana

I, ANGELO SCIORTINO, aged 41 years, occupation A MERCHANT, do declare on oath
that my personal description is: COLOR White, complexion BLONDE, height 5
feet 7 inches, weight 185 pounds, color of hair dark, colof of eyes blue, other
visible distinctive marks NONE; I was born in CORLEONE, ITALY, on the 23RD day
of NOVEMBER, anno Domini 1866; I now reside at White Castle, La under the
jurisdiction of said Court. I emigrated to the United States of America from
CORLEONE, ITALY on the vessel PARIC, foreign residence was CORLEONE, ITALY.
It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity
to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to
KING VICTOR EMMANUEL III, KING OF ITALY, of which I am now a subject; I
arrived at the port of NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA on or about the 9th day of
NOVEMBER, anno Domini 1883; I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor
a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith
to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside
therein; SO HELP ME GOD.
