Dixon Lewis Family, Montpelier, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana
Information given by Grace Hice.
File submitted by Mrs. Inez
Bridges Tate and prepared by D.N. Pardue
From publication "Old
Montpelier, 1804, New Montpelier, 1904" compiled by Inez B. Tate and
published by St. Helena Historical Association, 1993. Reprinted with
permission.
A concerted effort has been made to list all the
families who live or did live in Montpelier. We regret if anyone has been
omitted. Only those who lived in Montpelier are listed. For example, if a
couple had several children and only one remained in Montpelier after
marrying, then only that individual, his/her spouse and children are
listed. We did not list the families or those who left Montpelier to live
elsewhere.
Inez Tate conducted the majority of the interviews.
Much information pertaining to the families was recorded from the
personal knowledge of Edward and Inez Tate.
