Located about one half mile west of Chipola Highway 432, turn south on dirt trail about one fourth mile to cemetery. Should be noted that this cemetery has not been used since late 1870, and since that time has been used as a negro cemetery. As far as we could tell, only this one small section which will be on your right as you enter the cemetery, are the only early white settlers buried there.

Editor's Note: According to a scrap book in my possession that originally belonged to my great-grandmother, Rachel Anne Wisner Bangs, wife of Rev. Benjamin Jones, Clinton, La. was named after this Clinton family. One of the daughters of the Rev. Benjamin Jones was named Annie Clinton Jones and it is probable that Benjamin J. Clinton, named above, was the namesake of Rev. Jones. Also in the scrapbook or album referred to here, there is a picture of "Jimmy Clinton".
