THIBODAUX a certain yellow woman or Mulatto “Catherine” 32 years old, with child 11 years old, and another female child “Griffe”, dark in color, 2 years old, said mulatto purchased of Francisco MACHIAVO. $1,500.00. Witnessed by Jean Pierre LEDAY and Joseph ROGER.

No. 9 Pg. 13 On May 4, 1822 a Morgage signed by Joseph MONSON to Azahel GROSS for two Negro Males, Francois, 20 years old, cross eyed and Gabriel, 20 years old, deformed on little toe of right foot who was purchased from Joseph GALETAS. Witnessed by L. B. THIBODAUX and DESBAINS.

No. 11 Pg. 18 On June 15, 1822 Jean Charles BERGERON sold land for $250.00 to H. S. THIBODAUX - 3 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to length of Concessions or Spanish Grant bounded above by Jacques LABY, Jr. and below by land of Narcisse MARCELLES. Part of Land confirmed to heirs of Charles BERGERON. Witnessed by Corns. COLLINS and Jean J. LEBOEUF.

No. 12 Pg. 19 On June 15, 1822 Mrs. Gabriel ARSENAUX nee Catherine LEBOEUF sold land to H. S. THIBODAUX - 4 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Spanish Grant, bounded above or Northwardly by land of Lamuel TANNER, and below by Hubert BELLANGER, the same land purchased from Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Jacques VERRET for $ 50,000.00 - 10 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Concession, 5 Miles below Bayou Lafourche. THIBODAUX sold land to Jacques VERRET to increase size of plantation - 10 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Concession 5 miles from Bayou Lafourche, bounded above or North by Heirs of Walker GUIBERT and below or South by land of Elmere THIBODAU. No. 21 Pg. 41 On July 16, 1822 Discharge of Pascal LAMBERT of Assumption Parish to Henry S. THIBODAUX paid $775.00 inheritance of his wife, Marie Cezaire BELLANGER, as the daughter of Nicholas BELLANGER and Marguerite LEJEUNE both deceased. Henry S. THIBODAUX was Administrator of Estate and Tutor of Marie Cezaire BELLANGER. Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

THIBODAUX sold land to Alexandre BERGERON, 2 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne depth of about 20 Arpens on one side and 10 Arpens on the other, bounded above by land of Francois BELLANGER and below by land of Claiborne THIBODAUXfor $775.00 as part of inheritance due by Henry S. THIBODAUX to Alexandre BERGERON as husband and guardian of Euphrosine BELLANGER. Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

THIBODAUX and below by same. Any rights that Alexander BERGERON has to any concession or grant of land to Pierre or J. Bte. THIBODAUX sold land to Hubert BELLANGER 4 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne by ordinary depth, bounded above by vendor land purchased from Catherine ARSENAUX (seeNo. 12) and below by land of Marguerite BELLANGER widow CROCHET. S. THIBODAUX sold on Bayou Terrebonne 1 Arpent on both sides of bayou, bounded above by Land of Hubert BELLANGER which he purchased of Pierre BERGERON and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX. THIBODAUX 2 Arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Alexandre BERGERON and below by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX for $ 775.00 due by Henry S. THIBODAUX to Marie Justine BELLANGER, wife of said Joseph J. DARCE, at Thibodauxville, one half of a block or square bounded and fronting upon the First Main Street, on the east bounded by the street which seperates the Court House, on the west lot of Pierre PICOU and on the south by Second Main Street which seperates from lot of Pierre B. No. 27 Pg. 52 On July 29, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Charles BENOIT, fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by lands of Manuel ALBARATO, on right and Left Joseph Marie BENOIT and below by lands of Jean BOUDELOCHE depth to authority of United States for $ 400.00 per year for 5 years. Witnessed by Aubert BELLANGER, Joseph DARCE.

No. 28 Pg. 54 On July 9, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Pierre Joseph THIBODAUX both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Joseph THIBODAUX Jr. and below Henry S. THIBODAUX, to depth confirined by authority of U. S. for $300.00 per year for 5 years. Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Francois THIBODAUX fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, above by land of Joseph THIBODAUX and below by land of Pierre J. No. 31 Pg. 59 On August 8, 1822 “Sheriff's Sale” - Caleb B. WATKINS by virtue of writ of Fieri Facias against Narcisse MARCELLE at the suit of Honore FOLKS, sold land to Auguste BERNOU 3 Arpens front on Left bank of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by lands of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by same for $ 170.00. Witness Pr. GAUTIER and Ase DUGAS.

No. 32 Pg. 60 On August 71 1822 Auguste BERNOU sold 3 Arpens of land to Narcisse MARCELLE and wife Marianne LEBOEUF fronting on leftbank of Bayou Terrebonne acquired this date at Public Sale bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land of Heloise BERGERON wife of RHODES. Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Aaron HAINS.

No. 33 Pg 62 On August 22, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 2 Arpens of land to Joseph ROGER, fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth of concession or grant, was purchased from Jean Charles BERGERON June 15, 1822 (No. 11) bounded above by land of Jacques LABY and below by land of vendor - $100.00 per year for 1824, 1825, 1826, 1827 and $200.00 for year 1828. Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Hubert BELANGER.

No. 34 Pg. 65 On August 22, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold Widow Julien CROCHET nee Marguerite BELLANGER, a certain black man named William aged about 30 years. Same negro Henry S. THIBODAUX purchased from Mr. BEAUREGARD in office of Hugues LAVERGNE for $700.00. Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Hubert BELLANGER.

No. 35 Pg. 66 On August 27, 1822 Jacques BILLOT sold 10 Arpen of land to Alexander VERDIN. Jacques BILLOT owed mother Marianne ERIS money, he sold the land to his mother who sold to Alexander VERDIN to wit 10 Arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to depth confirmed by authority of U. S., bounded above by Alexander VERDIN and below by land of Alexander VERDIN under Jean BILLOT. Same tract Jacques BILLOT purchased at auction as will appear by reference in Parish of Lafourche Interior. Witnessed by John Mc HENRY and Charles DUPREES.

No. 36 Pg. 68 On August 27, 1822 Charles BILLOT sold land to Alexander VERDIN to wit; 20 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne to ordinary depth, bounded above by land of COURTEAU, an Indian, and below by purchaser. This tract was purchased at Public Auction fully referenced in Parish Judges of Lafourche Interior book A of deeds page 161. Charles BILLOT sold land to repay debts owed his mother Marianne ERIS. Witnessed by John Mc HENRY and Charles DUPREE.

No. 37 Pg. 69 On August 27, 1822 Jean BILLOT Jr. sold land to Alexandre VERDIN to wit; 5 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land Jacques BILLOT and below by land of COURTEAU, an Indian, with ordinary depth. No. 64 Pg. 111 September 10, 1822 Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS and wife Eugenie THIBODAUX, daughter of Henry S. THIBODAUX, Where as Joseph BOURGEOIS sold to Gabriel ARSENAUX (No. 15 Pg. 27) for $600.00 and another tract of land to Marie Carmelote his daughter by deed dated September 3, 1822 for $400.00 (two tracts form whole of a certain one, to the said Eugenie by her father Henry S. THIBODAUX, as her share of a certain division by him, made between his children is a Parapharnelia or extra Dotal Property, that said Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS is bound to replacing her Hereditary or Proper Effects by him Alienated. No. 71 Pg. 124 On June 21, 1820 Michel GAUTREAU cede 2 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land of Heirs of deceased Pierre LAMBERT, in favor of Jean Pierre LAIDE under the conditions that J. P. LAIDE pay Henry S. THIBODAUX the money that Michel GAUTREAU paid for the land and Mr. THIBODAUX accepts J. P. LAIDE as purchaser on the consideration of $600.00, under the condition that he leave the enjoyment of 2 Arpens of land, by ordinary depth, situated on the Right decending bank of the Bayou, to Mother-in-law of Michel GAUTREAU for the duration of her life. No. 72 Pg. 126 On October 25, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold to Jochim PORCHE 3 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of H. S. THIBODAUX and below by land formerly of Pierre LAMBERT, with depth of Grant and it being the same, that is to say 2 Arpens of it that was formerly sold for during their life time to Michel GAUTREAU and wife, and by these last to Jean Pierre LEDAY, et by this retroceeded to this said Henry S. No. 79 Pg. 137 On November 15, 1822 Etienne BILLOT, a free man of colour, sold land to Anne Marie widow Jean TYSON to wit 2 1/4 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne with depth as the certificate of confirriantion calls for by reference to the records of the Register and Receiver of the land office No. 630 bounded above by Jean MARS and below by Etienne BILLOT. No. 81 Pg. 141 On November 24, 1822 - Marriage Contract - Louis DARBOIS, major and legetimate son of Gabriel DARBOIS, born at Dijon, France and of Rose DUGAY, his wife born in New Orleans. His Father is out of State. Witnesses and friends are Pierre GAUTHIER, Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Bernard E. HAINS. On the other hand Marie Carmelite BOURGEOIS, minor and legitimate daughter of Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS, here and present, born in St. James Cabana-Hou-Ne Parish, Louisiana and Marie Rose HENRY, born Havre de Grace, France, deceased. Relatives are Ambroise DUGAS husband of Marcelite BOURGEOIS, her sister. Her witnesses and friends are Norbert BONVILLAIN, Jacques BONVILLAIN, Hubert BELLANGER and Narcisse MARCELLE. W. side of bayou 5. 55 W., thence across said bayou N. 55 E., thence down said bayou 14.55 chains to a piece of land claimed by Narcisse MARCELLE., opposite bornes bearing from the S. W. side of said bayou 5. 55 W., thence across said bayou N. 55 E. and having such shape, form and marks Natural and artificial, as are represented in the Plat.

No. 83 Pg. 146 In year 1802, when country was under Spanish Government and when I fulfilled the functions of Alcayde or Syndie for county of Lafourche, Act of abandonment, Constant PITRE, Laurent St. Joseph PISHOFF and Pierre DUFRESNE, having been entirely satisfied they have ceded and abandoned. to Mr. Henry S. Sold buildings, belongings and slaves, Lewis, Cotail, Tony, John Lewis, Jacques, another Jack, Davis, Burr and Georges. Female slaves Rachel, Catherine, Babit, Lilly, Seraphine and Antoinette. No. 85 Pg. 149 An exchange on December 7, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX to Jacques VERRET, 3 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, to ordinary depth of concession, bounded above by land of Emire THIBODAUX and below by land of Leufroy BARRAS. Sold to Jacques VERRET, for $4000.00, 3 negro men, Ness, 30 years old, Caramany, 30 years old and Capitain, 50 years old. Witnessed by John C. MICHEL and Joseph MONSON.

No. 86 Pg. 151 On December 7, 1822, H. S. THIBODAUX Mortgaged to Jacques VERRET, for $8500.00, a Plantation 10 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth of concession, same land H. S. THIBODAUX purchased from Jacques VERRET, slaves excepted, No. 84 Pg. 147. Witnessed by John C. MICHEL and Joseph MONSON.

No. 87 Pg. 152 On December 12, 1822, Joseph Innocent DARCE made a Will. “I name and institure as testamentary Executrix my wife, Marie Justine BELLANGER. All I possess be divided into Two equal part. One part to my wife and the other to my children, in equal shares, no difference between children, born before my marriage and those born since, acknowledging him by these presents”. Witnessed by H. No. 91 Pg. 159 On December 16, 1822 at a Public Sale on the Plantation of Pierre CAZEAUX, Joseph GUENO, Delmas GUENO and Antoine RAMEL deceased (his land purchased by the 3 remaining partners). The plantation sold for $13,850.00 ($150.00 loss), described as 27 Arpens and 36 links fronting each side of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth certificate calls for, bounded above by land of Pierre CAZEAUX and below by land of Joseph GUENO, also 19 slaves.
