No. 1903 Pg. 336 M. 2/371. On April 22, 1836 Jean Martin LEBLANC acting in capacity as tutor for the minors Ambroise Felecien LEBLANC, Marie Ursin LEBLANC, Michel Nicholas LEBLANC and Sylvain Benjamin LEBLANC, issue from the legal marriage of Clemence THIBODAUX, declared he does hereby make George C. BEDFORD his general and special attorney, so he can recover all sums due in the succession of late Jacques THIBOI}AUX, of Lafourche Interior Parish.. Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and Jean LIRETTE.

No. 1904 Pgs. 336, 337 6/1125. On April22, 1836 Francois BELLANGER declared that he had sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Jean COMEAU, a piece of land situated a short distance from the Court House, containing two arpents front on the left bank of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth as survey calls for, bounded above by land of Mrs. GAUBERT and below by land of Auguste ESCHETE, for $300.00 paid in cash.. Witnessed by Richard H. GRINAGE and Leandre CROCHET.

No. 1905 Pg. 337 6/1121. On April22, 1836 Francois BELLANGER declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Auguste ESCHETE, a certain piece of land, situated a short distance from the Court House, containmg Three arpents front on left bank of Bayou Terrebonne, by depth of survey, being part of the title of Joseph HACHET, bounded above by land of Jean COMEAU and below by land of the vendor, for $450.00, with $375.00 paid in cash, and remainder to be paid in March 1837.. Witnessed by Richard H. GRINAGE and Leandre CROCHET.

No. 1906 Pg. 337 M. 2/372. On April 22, 1836 Francois BELLANGER acknowledged that he received from Richard H. GRINAGE, the sum of $700.00, for sale dated April 14, 1834, and he gives release of all mortgages he may have on property. Witnessed by Leandre CROCHET and Pierre GAUTIER.

No. 1907 Pgs. 337,338 6/1124. On April 23, 1836 appeared Paul Michel BRUNET and Elie CHARPENTIER, whereas Paul Michel BRUNET sold land to Elie CHARPENTIER, the following property; two and one half arpents front, more or less, works and rights of pre emption, which he has or may have, on said land by agreement of Messrs THIBODAUX, on right bank of Bayou Uttle Caillou, about 24 miles below Thibodauxville, bounded above by land of Jean Baptiste BRUNET and below by land of Laurent PELEGRIN, with depth of forty arpents, for $32.00.. Witnessed by Laurent PELEGRIN and Valentin SEVIN.
No. 1908 Pg. 3386/1123. On April 23, 1865 Valentin SEVIN sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered Hubert Madison BELANGER, a certain mulatto named Billy, aged about 23 years, slave for life, being same vendor acquired from Louis August DASPIT, for $500.00, payable March 1837.. Witnessed by Henri HOFFMANN and Ludger BELANGER

No. 1909 Pg. 3386/1122. On April 23, 1836 Henri HOFFMANN sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Hubert Madison BELANGER four lots situated in New Port, each containing seventy feet front and eighty feet in depth, designated lots numbers 3-4-5 and 6. Same land Henri HOFFMANN obtained by exchange from Pierre GAUTIER, for $500.00, paid in cash,. Witnessed by Valentin SEVIN and Ludger BELANGER.

No. 1911 Pg. 3396/1109. On April 20, 1836 Lange Vincent MAGGIOLI, of Thibodaville, sold to Evariste PORCHE for $1,000.00, well and duly paid, be sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered a certain negress named Alsy, aged about 17 years, slave for life, being same acquired from Mrs. Widow GAGE, of New Grleans, December 1833.. Witnessed by Furcy PORCHE and Simon TRAHAN.

No. 1926 Pg. 344 6/1128. On April 28, 1836 William ROSS sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Henri HOFFMANN a certin mulatress named Adele, aged about 24 years, slave for life, being same acquired from Paul BOUDREAUX, of Assumption Parish, for $1,000 00, with $304.00 paid in cash and a note of $696.00, made in favor of Auguste H. VERRET, payable March 1838. Attached, was a note whereas the mulatress herein sold is mother of two children named Liza and Betzy, who are slaves of the vendor and are under the age, in which the law permits the separafion of the Children from the mother, Henri HOFFMANN obligates himself to Mr. ROSS, as principal and to guarantee to Mr. ROSS against all troubles on the part of the mother of said children, for having sold them before the age often years.. Witnessed by J. C. SCHOENBERG and Celestin BERGERON.

No. 1927 Pgs. 344, 345 6/1127. On April 28, 1836 Henri HOFFMANN and William ROSS, declared that for different and good reasons, to them well known, they do annul and abrogate the act passed in this office January 28, 1836, and they do dissolve said partnership.. Witnessed by A. H. VERRET and J. C. SCHOENBERG.

No. 1931 Pg. 347 M. 2/374 On April 29, 1836 appeared Etienne LEBLANC, acting in name of Mrs. Rosalie Azelie BERTRAN, his wife, by virtue of Power of Attorney, passed before Judge DASPIT, as of today, he declared he has received $250.00 fom William A. SHAFFER, in consideration of a sale passed in July 1835, giving by these presents, release of mortgage reserved by said sale.. Witnessed by D. R. REW and Huberville ARSENAUX.

No. 1935 Pg. 3496/1134. On July 15, 1836 Pierre CHARPENTIER sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Henri HOFFMANN, a certain lot in the city of New port, designated lot number 17, acconling to plan dated May 1830, which lot meusured sixty feet, by 80 feet, for $360.00, with a $110.00 in cash, and balance of $250.00, payable March 1837.. Witnessed by C. L. DU-ROY and Theodore BOURG Jr.

No. 1952 Pgs. 353, 354. On July 22, 1836 Laurent PELEGRIN and his wife Eulalie LASINGNE, sells and transports all their rights, titles and claims to a certain piece of land, now occupied by us, to A. LAFOREST and Co., merchants of Thihodauxville, being one half of a quarter section of land, section number 47 and township number 18, range number 18, according to certificate of Judge dated December 2, 1835, sold for $250.00 in cash.. Witnessed by Marcel FALGOUT and Eulalie LASINGNE.

No. 1953 Pg. 354. On July 23, 1835 by decree of Probate Court, rendered on petition of major heirs of late Jean Martin LEBLANC, ordering an inventory of properties, Leufroy BARRAS went to the home of deceased Jean Martin LEBLANC, there in the presence of Mrs. Angeliquc LEBLANC, wife of Jean Baptiste HEBERT, Joseph LEBLANC, Marguerite LEBLANC, wife of Hypolite NAQUIN, Clemence LEBLANC, wife of Pierre LEJEUNE, Jean Napoleon LEBLANC and Marie Celeste LEBLANC, wife of Silvere BLANCHARD, all wives anthorized by said husbands, and in presence of Nicolas THIBODAUX, tutor of the minors, Ambroise Phelicien LEBLANC, Marie Ursine LEBLANC, Michel Nicolas LEBLANC and Benjamin Sylvain LEBIANC, inventoried value of properties at $1947.18 3/4, with hard cash of $1.93 3/4. Appraisers were experts Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Francis RODRIGUE. Witnessed by Jean H. LIRETTE and Pierre DAIGLE

No. 1954 Pg. 355. Or' July 23, 1836 by virtue of a decree of Probate Court, ordering a family meeting, of the closest relatives of the minors Ambroise Phelicien, Marie Urcine, Michel Nicholas, and Benjamin Sylvain, all children of late Jean Martin LEBLANC and Clemence THIBODAUX, appeared Pierre THIBODAUX (uncle), Auguste THIBODAUX (uncle), Jean LEBLANC (cousin), Joseph LEBLANC (cousin), Jean Baptiste LAPERUSE (friend of minors), who with Nicolas THIBODAUX, tutor of said minors, to deliberate and decided to sell all of the properties, in order to effect a division, asked by major heirs and for the advantage of the minors.

No. 1958 Pg. 361 2/378. On July27, 1836 appeared Joseph Auguste HEBERT, tutor of Jean Baptiste Sylvain LEJEUNE, child of late Jean Baptiste LEJEUNE, who declared he received $39.72, which was deposited at the office of Judge of Probate Court, which was his share, in cash money, of the succession of late Jean Baptiste TRAHAN, his uncle.. Witnessed by A. H. VERRET and Marcellus LEBLANC.

No. 1996 Pgs. 368, 3696/1138. On July 30, 1836 Pierre GAUTIER declared he was justly indebted to August H. VERRET, a merchant, for the sum of $341.83 1/4, for which sum he signed a note, payable next March, 1837, he mortgage a certain piece of land near the public bridge adjoining the Grand Caillou public road, below and Jean Marie PITRE, above, containing one arpent front, with four arpents depth.. Witnessed by Celestin BERGERON and Marcellus LEBLANC.

No. 1997 Pg. 3696/1135 On July 30, 1836 Brigite BELANGER, widow Henry S. THIBODAUX, declared that by act before Judge DASPIT, in about the year 1817, Mr. Henry S. THIBODAUX sold to Francois LEBLANC, a piece of land, situated in this parish, containing two arpents front, now bounded by lands of the widow and the heirs of Jean Pierre GUILLOT and those of James Mc ALLISTER, she does ratify and confirm by these presents, the said act.. Witnessed by Henry M. THIBODAUX and E. D. BURGUIERES.

No. 2006 Pg. 3736/1 140-K. On August 3,1836 Auguste THIBODAUX declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Joseph BROUSSARD, a certain piece of land, situated in this parish, having one arpent front, on left bank of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth as the confirmation or survey, bounded above by land of Jacques LEBOEUF, and below by land of Joseph LEBLANC, for $300.00, payable at $50.00 per year.. Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and Emile GAUBRIC.

No. 2007 Pg. 373 6/1 140-G. On August 6, 1836 Antoine Marcelus LEJEUNE sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Pierre Amand LEJEUNE, a certain young negro named John, about 12 years of age, slave for life, being same vendor acquired from succession of his late father, Alexis LEJEUNE, at public auction, for $980.00, payable over time.. Witnessed by Zephirin TRAHAN and Henry S. BOURGEOIS.

No. 2008 Pg. 3746/1140-F on August 8, 1836 Charles BLANCHARD and Jean Baptiste BLANCHARD sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Eugene DAIGLE, a certun piece of land situated, in this Parish, on right bank of Bayou Black, that is to say, one-third of section No. 2, in townshipNo. 17, Range 16 east, containing 159 acres, more or less, bounded one side by Section entered in the name of Francis RODRIGUE and the other side by vacant lands or unknown persons, for $500.00.. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and Hubervilie ARSENAUX.

No. 2009 Pg. 374. On August 9, 1836, in conformity with a decree of the Probate Court, ordering an inventory of the community properties of the late Pierre LAMBERT and Mrs. Marie DENIS, now wife of Victore SIVILE, present were Mrs. Marie DENIS, assisted by her present husband, Pierre LAMBERT, a son of the first marriage, having right to one-sixth of the estate, experts Jean Louis HEBERT and Jean Baptiste GUIDRY valued estate at #344.50.. Witnessed by Celestin BERGERON and Auguste THIBODAUX.

No. 2011 Pg. 375 on August 9, 1836 pursuant to a decree of Probate Court, rendered on the petition of Mrs. Marie DENIS, now wife of Victore SEVILE, ordering a faniily meeting of relatives and friends of the minors Marie Emilie, Leonide, Leufroy Donate and Zeolide Euphrosie, all children of the late Pierre LAMBERT, with purpose of deliberating on said petition, present were Pierre THIBODAUX, Jean Louis HEBERT, Auguste THIBODAUX, Jacques ADAM, Stanislas BOUDREAUX and Jean Baptiste GUIDRY, who decided that properties be sold at public auction. Now appeared Pierre LAMBERT, heir for one-sixth and acting as subrogated tutor of the aforesaid minors and Benjarnin THIBODAUX husband of Magdeleine Fidelie Saulange LAMBERT, acting in the name of his wile, as well as tutor of the aforesaid minors, declared that they consented in their own name and in the name of the minors.. Witnessed by Celestin BERGERON and Orelien BOUDREAUX.

No. 2012 Pgs. 375-3776/1 140-H On August 12, 1836 Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL, by these presents, sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Thomas S. SHIELDS, a certain piece of land situated about 19 miles from Thibodauxville, having a front of 28 arpents, more or less, on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of Mrs. widow Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land recently sold by Robert R. BARROW to Thomas R. SHIELDS, according to plan made by A. H. FOSTER, dated April 9, 1831, land confirmed by congress in the name of Pierre CAZEAUX, who sold it to present vendor, by act dated November 6, 1824, with such depth according to the survey, together with all buildings and improvements, for $22,000.00. Price payable $3,000.00 in cash, $3,000.00 payable March 1838, and $2,000.00 payable every March 1839 through 1846. Appeared Mrs. Magdeleine THOMAS, wife of Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL who declared she approved of the act, in its entirety.. Witnessed by James M. VORIS and Edward WELCH.

No. 2014 Pg. 3786/11404/ On August 18, 1836 Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Jackson RHODES, a certain piece of land, situated on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, a short distance below the Bayou Grand Caillou Road bridge, having a front of one and one-half arpents on each side of bayou, with depth of four arpents, on each side, bounded above by land of Francois BABIN and below by land of Jean Baptiste BERGERON, for #325.00, payable over time.. Witnessed by Philippe H. DARCE and Richard H. GRINAGE.

No. 2015 Pgs. 378, 3896/1 140-J. On August 18, 1836 Jackson RHODES sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Narcisse MARCEL a piece of land situated a short distance below the Pubhc Bridge, containing one and ont-half arpents front on right bank of Bayou Terreboune, with depth of four arpents, bounded above by land of Francois BABIN and below by land of Jean Baptiste BERGERON, being half of the land RHODES bought today from Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL, for $160.00. Jackson RHODES reseeves the right to harvest Cypress trees, for his own use, but not to sell.. Witnessed by Philippe H. DARCE and Richard H. GRINAGE.

No. 2019 Pg. 381 6/1 140-L. On August 30, 1836 Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Francois Maxmilien BABIN, domiciliated in parish of Iberville, at present time, a certain piece of land situated a short distance below the public bridge, contaihing one arpent front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth of four arpents, bounded above by land of vendor and below by land of Francois BABIN, for $206.00, payable over time.. Witnessed by Huberville ARSENAUX and Emile GAUBRIC.

No. 2025 Pg. 385 6/1140-0. On September 13, 1836 Henri HOFFMANN declared to be duly indebted to August H. VERRET for $643.93 3/4, he makes a note payable March 1839 at eight percent interest and he mortgage a slave named Adele, age about 20 years, being same he acquired from William ROSS, by act passed April 25,1836.. Witnessed by W. C. WATKINS and Jean LIRETTE.

No. 2028 Pg. 385 112A/10941. On September 13, 1836 Angelique LEBLANC, wife of Jean Baptiste HEBERT, Clemence LEBLANC, wife of Pierre Amand LEJEUNE, Marguerite LEBLANC, wife of Hypolite NAQUIN, Marie Celeste LEBLANC, wife of Silvere BLANCHARD, all assisted by their husbands, and Jean Napoleon LEBLANC declared that whereas a contract made between Jean Martin LEBLANC, their deceased father, dated October 17,1835 and Robert R. BARROW, that he promised to sell land ten arpents front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, being same which he had bought from deceased Alexis LEJEUNE, they have asked the Court of Probates, that this contract be fulfilled, for the sum of $1450.00.. Witnessed by Philippe H. DARCE, Pelegrain BOUDRAUX and A. H. VERRET.

No. 2031 Pg. 3886/1 140-T On September29, 1836 appeared Mrs. Heloise FALGOUT, widow Edmon FANGUY, who declared that whereas her late husband, by act dated February 23, 1825, did sell, cede; abandon and deliver to William C. FUQUA, a certin piece of land below Canal Bellanger, containing ten arpents front, on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of Jean Baptiste DUPLANTI and below by land belonging to the estate of late Henry S. THIBODAUX. Now land having been seized from the said William C. FUQUA, by the Sheriff, and sold to Mr. Pierre CAZEAUX, who then sold it to William L. WOODS, the present owner, in order to give good titles, she declares that she renounces, by these presents, ali rights and claims, she may have on said lands and she formerly consented to said sale.. Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Richard H. GRINAGE.

No. 2033 Pg. 389 6/1143-A On October 5, 1836 appeared Etienne BILLIOT, free man of color, who declared that for the sum of $1600.00, well and duly paid in cash, by Hubert Madison BELLENGER, sold two slaves, a negress named Zeide, aged about 17 years and a little negro named Antoine, aged about 13 years, both slaves for life.. Witnessed by Alexandre LIRETTE and Huberville ARSENAUX.

No. 2034 Pgs. 389, 390 6/1140-V. On October 6, 1836 Delfin LECONTE declared to have sold to Eloise FALGOUT, widow of Edmon FANGUY to wit; a certain piece of land on right bank of Bayou Little Caillou, about 24 miles below Thibodauxville, measuring two acres front, more or less, or one-quarter section, containing eighty acres, by ordinary depth of forty arpents, bounded above by land of Michel HEBERT, and below by land of Pierre CHARPENTIER, for $50.00 in cash. Witnessed by Laurent PELEGRIN and Emile FANGUY.

No. 2035 Pg. 3906/1 14-R. On October 7, 1836 Henry M. THIBODAUX sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Mrs. Henry S. THIBODAUX, a mulatto named Victor, aged about 20 years, slave for life, for $2,500 payable over time.. Witnessed by Bannon G. THIBODAUX and Henry C. THIBODAUX.

No. 2036 Pg. 3906/1143-B On October 13, 1838 Henry C. THIBODAUX declared he had sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Henry Michel THIBODAUX, a certain piece of land, situated about four miles from Thibodauxville, containing two arpents front on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth of eighty arpents, bounded above by land of Bannon G. THIBODAUX and land below by land sold recently to present purchaser, for $2000.00, payable over time.. Witnessed by Eleonore CROCHET and Bannon G. THIBODAUX.

No. 2038 Pgs. 391, 392. On OctQber 13, 1836 a decree of the Probate Court rendered on the petition of Mrs. Euphroisine ROGER, widow Charles BOURG, ordering an inventory of the community properties, which existed at the death of Charles BOURG, present were Euphroisine ROGER, acting on her own and in the name of her children, Francois Sosthene, Charles Michel, Marie Madeleine, Henriette Ozeline, Adeline and Augustin BOURG, of whom she is tutrix and Louis BOURG, subrogated Tutor, with expert appraisers Jacques LABIT and Philippe H. DARCE, who valued estate at $437.00.. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and John S. TYSON.

No. 2039 Pg. 392 On October 16, 1836 a decree of the Probate Court ordering a fimitly meeting of parents and friends of minors Francois Sosthene, Charles Michel, Marie Madeleine, Henriette Oseline, Adeline and Augustin BOURG, appeared Joachirn BOURG, Auguste BOURG, Jacques LABIT, Philippe H. DARCE and Auguste PICHOFF, in presence of widow and Louis BOURG, who declared that the property be sold at Public Auction.. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and John J. TYSON.

No. 2041 pgs. 392,393 6/1 143-E’ On October 13, 1836 appeared Auguste PICHOFF, who declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to John J. TYSON and Hubert M. BELLANGER, a certain piece of land, situated on Bayou Little Caillou, being designated under section 19, township no.18, range no.18, being same land which was lately entered and bought in their name from the U.S. government, reference no.314, on November 23, 1835, in consideration of the sum of $400.00, with $100.00 paid in cash and the remainder over time. Witnessed by Philippe H. DARCE and Henry C. THIBODAUX.

No. 2042 pg. 393 6/1143-F. On October 15, 1836 Jean Marcelin DUPLANTI declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Joseph Etienne MALBROUE a certain piece of land, being section no.48, township no.18, range no.18, which was lately entered and bought in the names of the vendor, by reference receipt of the receiver of public monies, of the U.S. government, for $110.00 in cash.. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and Henry S. BOURGEOIS.

No. 2043 pg. 393 6/1143-0. On October 15, 1836 Francois DARCE sold, ceded and delivered to Valentin SEVIN a certain piece of land situated on Bayou Little Caillou, Section no.49, township no.18, range no.18, land he bought from the U.S. government, being no.239, sold for $250.00 paid in cash.. Witnessed by Laurent PELEGRIN.

No. 2044 pgs. 393, 394 6/1143-H. On October 15, 1836 Louis TOUPS declared that for $500.00 cash, he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Joseph TOUPS a certain piece of land situated on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, containing one and one-half arpents front, with depth of survey, bounded above by land of the vendor and below by land of the succession of late Edmond FANGUY. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and Henry S. BOURGEOIS.

No. 2045 pg. 3946/1143-I. On October 15, 1836 Mrs. widow Louise TOUPS sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Louis TOUPS, the undivided half ofa cerain piece of land, situated in section no.15, township no.17, range no.18, east, located on bayou Little Caillou, land lately bought in the names of said widow Louise TOUPS and Louis TOUPS, from U.S. government no.233, dated September 2, 1835, for $200.00, paid in cash.. Witnessed by Henry C. THIBODAUX and Henry S. BOURGEOIS.

No. 2047 pgs. 394, 395. On October 22, 1836 pursuant to a decree of the Court of Probates, rendered on the petition of Jean Baptiste RICHARD, ordering an inventory of all the wealth, rights and credits, of the community of Jean Baptiste RICHARD and deceased Ortana LEBIANC. Judge Leufroy BARRAS repaired to the domicile of Jean Baptiste RICHARD, in the presence of Jean Baptiste RICHARD, Pelegrin BOUDRAUX, subrogated tutor; and Vincent DALAIS and Louis PITRE, with Henry C. THIBODAUX and Evariste PORCIIE as appraisers, who valued land, two arpents front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth of concession, bounded above by land of Louis PITRE, on the right side and widow M. ARSENAUX on the left side of the bayou, for $1,000.00 and movable and personal property of $420.00, for a total $1,420.00.

On October 24, 1836 appeared Thomas MOLINA, who declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and deliv~ed to Pierre GAUTIER, a ceetain piece of land situated on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, containing one arpent front, bounded above by land of Jean Marie PITRE and below by the public road, being same bought by MOLINA from Jean Marie PITRE, by act dated December 12, 1834, sale made for $250.00.. Witnessed by Huberville ARSENAUX and Zephirin TRAHAN.

No. 2049 pgs. 395,396 6/1143-L. On October 26, 1836 appeared Jacob LOHOFF and Christian LOHOFF who declared that in consideration of the sum of$180.00 paid in cash, by Adolphe PELEGRIN, they sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered a certain piece of land situated on Bayou Little Caillou, on the left bank, containing eight acres front (more or less), with depth of survey, being part of section no.9, township no.18, range 18 east, land recently bought from U.S. government June 15, 1836 no.2016.. Witnessed by P. ROCHEBLANC and Huberville ARSENAUX.

On March 29, 1837 Charles Lemichel DU-ROY exchanged land with Oliver DUBOIS, to wit; a certain piece of land situated on right descending bank of Bayou Black, designnted Section no.14, Township no.17, Range no.16, being same piece of land bought from the U.S. Government, by said DU-ROY and Jean Baptiste HEBERT, whose share he bought, as can be seen by the receipt registered November 25, 1836, and in Counter exchange, Oliver DUBOIS does cede, abandon and deliver to Charles Lernichel DU-ROY, a cerain piece of land, on right bank of Bayou Black, designated Section no.13, Township no.17, Range no.16, land he bought from U.S. Governrnent by receipt registered October 26, 1835. The reason for the exchange, they do declare that on making applications to the land office at New Orleans, an error was made on the numbers, and that marks and work made on no.13, were made by Charles Lemichel DU-ROY and marks and work made on no.14, were made by Oliver DUBOIS. Also agreed whereas said Oliver DUBOIS, bought land in partnership with his son Fijus DUBOIS, who is still a minor, the said Oliver DUBOIS gives a mortgage on land, until his son reaches full age of majority and confirms the sale.. THIBODAUX who declared that in consideration of the sum of $360.00, duly paid by Augustin BABIN, he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered a certain piece of land, situated on Bayou Blue, containing three arpents front, on each side of said bayoy, with depth of six arpents, on right bank and depth of survey on lefi bank, bounded above by land of Marian BABIN and below by land of purchaser.. Witnessed by Evariste PORCHE and Eugene Denis BURGUIERES.

No. 2166 pg. 441 6/1184. On May26, 1837 appeared Jean Baptiste DUPLANTI, who declared that he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Euphrosin HOTARD, the undivided half of a certain piece of land situated below Canal Bellanger, containing about six arpents front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with depth as bears the survey, bounded above by land of Louis ARSEMENT and below by land of William L. WOODS, being same land sold by decree of the Court of Probates July 29, 1835 and bought by Jean Baptiste DUPLANTI and Joseph MONSAN, in partnership. Jean Baptiste DUPLANTI acknowledges that the purchaser has full knowledge of a difference which exists between the adjoining neighbor, William L. WOODS, relative to the direction of the lines and that he takes the responsibility of settling it without even calling the vendor, sold for $1400.00.. Witnessed by Emile GAUBRIC and William S. CAMPBELL.

No. 2167 pg. 441 6/1187. On June 12, 1837 appeared Leandre B. THIBODAUX who declared that in consideration of the sum of $360.00, duly paid by Augustin BABIN, he sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered a certain piece of land, situated on Bayou Blue, containing three arpents front, on each side of said bayou, with depth of six arpents, on right bank and depth of survey on left bank, bounded above by land of Marian BABIN and below by land of purchaser..
