No. 92 Pg. 1 On December 17, 1822 Pierre BILLOT, a free man of colour, quit claim to Joseph GUENO, land on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of Joseph GUENO and below by land of Michel DARDART. Pierre BILLOT shall preserve for himself 14 Arpens, beginning from lower Boundry, running up. Witnessed by H. S. THIBODAUX and L. B. THIBODAUX. Henry S. THIBODAUX quit claim land to Joseph GUENO for $400.00, for the above land of Pierre BILLOT. Witnessed by P. CAZEAUX and L. B. THIBODAUX.

No. 93 Pg. 3 On December 18, 1822 Ambroise DUGAS sold to Pierre GAUTIER 4 Arpens on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, going down, to depth as the certificate of confirmantion calls for, bounded above by land of Widow Julian CROCHET and below by land of Francois BOSE and to next below Julian CROCHET, ajourning tract 1 Arpen from same side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land already conveyed and below by land of Francois N. GUYOL. This 1 Arpen sold to Francois BOSE by Ambroise DUGAS, but never paid for. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Bernard E. HAINS.

No. 94 Pg. 6 On December 21, 1822 Marie BOUDROT, widow Eustache CARRET, of Lafourche Parish, sold land to Brigitte BELLANGER, wife of Henry S. THIBODAUX to wit 2 Arpens on Right side of Bayou Terrebonne, going down, bounded above by land of Hubert BELLANGER and below by land of Jacques LABY Junior. Marie BOUDROT sold for #200.00 land Bridget BELLANGER had donated to her. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Norbert BONVILLAIN.

No. 95 Pg. 7 On December 21, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold to Norbert BONVILLAIN for $1200.00, 2 Arpens fronting on each side of Bayou Terrebonne to depth Certificate of confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of Pierre BONVILLAIN and below by land of Widow Pierre LAMBERT. Witnessed by Wm. S. WATKINS and Caleb B. WATKINS.

No. 96 Pg. 9 On December 21, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Pierre BONVILLAIN for $1200.00 to wit; 4 Arpens fronting on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land sold this day to Norbert BONVILLAIN. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Aaron HAINS.

No. 97 Pg. 10 On December 23, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Jean Baptiste RICHARD to wit 2 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of Leandre B. THIBODAUX and below by land of Pierre B. ROUSSEL. Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Wm. S. WATKINS.

No. 98 Pg. 11 On December 23, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold a slave to Hyppolyte H. SIMONEAUX to wit; a negro named “Fanny”, 15 years old. Witnessed by Wm. S. WATKINS and Caleb B. WATKINS.

No. 99 Pg. 12 “Acquittance” on December 13, 1822 Marguerite BELLANGER widow Julien CROCHET, sold land to wit; 2 Arpens front on Bayou Terrebonne bounded between and by land of M. N. COULON, brothers, and Madam ADAM, which said 2 Arpens sold to Victor COULON for $610.00 on April 19, 1816. Witnesed by Edmond FANGUY and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 100 Pg. 14 On December 13, 1822 Jean Bte. BERGERON sold land Ambroise DUGAS to wit; 2 Arpens fronting on each side of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Narcisse MARCEL and below land of the vendor for $400.00. Witnessed by H. S. THIBODAUX and Edmond FANGUY.

No. 101 Pg. 16 On December 13, 1822 Jean Bte. BERGERON and Pierre BERGERON sold land to Henry S. THIBODAUX to wit; 2 tracts on Bayou Terrebonne, one by Peter BERGERON # 582 and another by Jean Bte. BERGERON # 589, from upper stake or boundry of Joachim PORCHE and in going down, located the land of Charles BERGERON or assignees as far down to upper line of Alexander DUPRE. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 102 Pg. 17 On August 30, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Francis M. GUYOL situate on Bayou Terrebonne, 3 Arpens front on each side to depth grant calls for, bounded above by land of Charles BILLOT and below by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX. Part of grant to Michel DARDART # 597, Eastern District. Witnessed by Charle DUPREES and Isidore BOUDREAUX.

No. 103 Pg. 18 On January 1, 1823 Jean Bte. BERGERON sold land to Jean Baptiste BEAUSERGANT to wit; 6 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne. Part of grant # 589 reserved for himself in deed to H. S. THIBODAUX December 13, 1822 #101 bounded above by Marcelin BERGERON and below H. S. THIBODAUX. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Bernard E. HAINS.

No. 104 Pg. 20 On January 1, 1823 Jean Baptiste BEAUSERGANT sold land to Jacques ADAM the same land as above # 103. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Bernard E. HAINS.

No. 105. Pg. 22 On February 7, 1822 Recipocal quitclaim, where Pierre BERGERON and Jean Baptiste BERGERON claim all the land within and from the upper boundary of Joachim PORCHE, on Bayou Terrebonne,. and as far down as the upper line or boundary of Alexandre DUPRE. The said Pierre BERGERON # 582 and Jean Bte. BERGERON as confirmed # 589. Pierre BERGERON quitclaimed land to Jean Bte. BERGERON on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, upper bouridary of Joachim PORCHE and as far down to the upper limit or boundary of H. S. THIBODAUX. Jean Bte. BERGERON quitclaim to Pierre BERGERON all lands on both side of Bayou Terrebonne beginning at the upper limit or boundary of Henry S. THIBODAUX and running as far down as the upper limit or boundary of Alexander DUPRE. The upper limit of H. S. THIBODAUX being lower limit of Jean Bte. BEAUSERGANT, as by deed of Jean Bte. BERGERON recorded # 102. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 106 Pg. 23 On March 3, 1823 Aaron HAINS sold land to Narcisse MARCELLE for $800.00 to wit; 5 Arpens front on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, with such depth as the grant or certificate of confirmation calls for, bounded above by land Francis N. GUYOL and below by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX, being in the possession of J. J. DARCE. Witnessed by Joseph P. BOURGEOIS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 107 Pg. 25 On March 3, 1823 Narcisse MARCELLE Exchanged Land with Jean Charles BERGERON to wit; 5 Arpens front on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth grant calls for, bounded above by Francis M. GUYOL and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX. Same land he purchased from Aaron HAINS # 106 for 3 Arpens front on Bayou Terrebonne, between two stakes on both sides of bayou, bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land of Ambroise DUGAS. Witnessed by Joseph P. BOURGEOIS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 108 Pg. 26 On March 3, 1823 Narcisse MARCELLE and wife Marianne LEBOEUF sold land to Jean MARONGE for $400.00 to wit; on Bayou Terrebonne on left side coming up or right side going down 3 Arpens in front with such depth as the Grant or Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above by two stakes. Mortgaged by deed # 31 of the Sheriff to Auguste BERNON, also by deed Auguste BERNON to Narcisse MARCELLE and Marianne his wife # 32 for $325.00. Witnesssed by Aaron HAINS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 109.Pg. 28 On March 5, 1823 Inventoryof Community of Marie Marguerite LEJEUNE, deceased wife of Joseph CHIASSON. All goods, Chattels, lands and tenements belonging to the Community between him and his wife. No real property only household items worth $25.00, debts of $133.00. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS, Ambroise DUGAS, Joseph P. BOURGEOIS and Hubert BELLENGER.

No. 110 Pg. 29 On January 1, 1823 a Bond for Caleb B. WATKINS, with John Mc HENRY as security, for building of a bridge for $220.00, opposite the place designated to build the Court House, to be completed by end of March next. Both men acknowledged to be in dept for $500.00 each (property bond). Witnessed Pierre GAUTIER, and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 111 Pg. 30 On January 1, 1823 a bond for Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Francois MALBROUGH as security, to build 8 bridge at designated place for $150.00, to be completly finished by March next. A property bond for $200.00 each man. Witnessed by Ambroise DUGAS and L. DARBOIS to the hand of Fois MALBROUGH.

No. 112 Pg. 32 On January 1, 1823 a bond for Valery BARRAS to build a road, the making and clearing of the Public Road to communicate from the Parish of. Terrebonne, to the Parish of Lafourche Interior, for $140.00, to be complete by March next. Valery BARRAS, as principal and H. S. THIBODAUX as his security, property bonds of $200.00 each.

No. 113 Pg. 33 On January 14, 1823 at New Orleans, Edmond FANGUY of Terrebonne Parish owed Pierre DEBUYS, a merchant in New Orleans, $700.00. He mortgages his Plantation situated in Parish of Lafourche Interior, on Bayou Terrebonne, nine leagues from the Junction of the said. Bayou with Bayou Lafourche to wit; 10 Arpens front on each bank, with all buildings, and. other appurtenances accepting, one negro named Cesar, 43 years old, fitted for field work. Done in office of notary H. LAVERGNE. Witnessed by Jean Baptiste DESDUNES, Jr. and Charles PANIN.

No. 114 Pg. 34 On March 27, 1823 Jean Charles BERGERON sold land to Gabriel ARCENAUX to wit; 1 1/2 Arpens front on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, going down, with such depth as the Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of Francois M. GUYOL and below by land of Gabriel ARSENAUX, purchase March 3, 1823 and same land he sold 2 Arpens #11 to H. S. THIBODAUX and 1 1/2 Arpens #30 to August BERNON. Witnessed by.Aaron HAINS and Bernard E. HAINS.

No. 115 Pg. 36 Acknowledgment on June 29, 1822 Jean Baptiste HENRY as curator ad bona to Renaud BOUDROT and Jean Bte. Theodore HENRY, as security posted a bond for $200.00 as security for Jean Baptiste HENRY.

No. 116 Pg. 37 Mortgage on June 29, 1822 Jean Baptiste HENRY Laine’ as curator ad bona of Pelegrin BOUDROT and Charles DUPRE as security posted a mortgage of $200.00 as security, for Jean Baptiste HENRY.

No. 117 Pg. 38 Curator's bond on June 29, 1822 Charles DUPRE as curator ad bona of Scholastic BOUDROT and Isidore BOUDROT as security, posted a bond of $200.00 as security for Charles DUPRE.

No. 118 Pg. 30 Curator's bond on June 29, 1822 Charles DUPRE as curator ad bona of Victoire BOUDROT and Jean Bte. HENRY L' aine as security posted a $200.00 bond as security for Charles DUPRE.

No. 119 Pg. 39 On April 21, 1823 Eugenie THIBODAUX, wife of Joseph P. BOURGEOIS, and Joseph P. BOURGEOIS sold to Jean Charles TERRIOT a certain negro woman “Jeanne” 18-19 years old, being the sarne negro woman that the Eugenie purchased of her husband # 64 for $800.00. Witnessed by Louis DARBOIS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 120 Pg. 41 On April 25, 1823 William S. WATKINS sold land to Caleb B. WATKINS to wit; 3 Arpens on right side in going down Bayou Terrebonne, with the depth as the Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above and below by land of William S. WATKINS, being part of a larger quanity of land purchased from Henry S. THIBODAUX. Sold land for $600.00, to be paid when time shall legally come. Witnessed by L. B. THIBODAUX and Henry C. THIBODAUX.

No. 121 Pg. 42 On April 26, 1823 Rosalie ROBINET sold land to Pierre ROBINET for $200.00 in parish of St. Mary, on Bayou Sale, 2 Arpens front, bounded above by land of Honore CARLIN and below, by land of. Pierre ROBINET, it being her portion or share as one of the heirs of Nicholas ROBINET, late of St. Mary Parish. Witnessed by Pierre CAZEAUX and George TOUPS.

No. 122 Pg. 43 On April 4, 1823 a Marriage Contract between Caleb B. WATKINS, son of William S. WATKINS and Betsy WATKINS, maternal Uncle Thomas BAKER, friends Claiborne B. THIBODAUX and Baptiste VERTEFEUILLE with Fideles GAUDIN,daughter of Charles GODAIN and Marie BABIN, friends Henry S. THIBODAUX, John Mc HENRY and Pierre CAZEAUX. Witnessed by Wm. S. WATKINS, Betsy WATKINS, Thomas BAKER, H. C. THIBODAUX, Baptiste VERTEFEUILLE, Marie BABIN, P. CAZEAUX and John Mc HENRY.

No. 123 Pg. 47 On April 29, 1823 Gabriel ARSENAUX retrocessed to Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS land purchased June 17,. 1822 that he is unable to pay for to wit; 3 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne on left side of bayou going down, bounded above by land of Guillaume BERGERON and below by land of Leandre B. THIBODAUX. $630.00 past due. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Ambrose DUGAS.

No. 124 Pg. 48 On May 8, 1823 Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS sold land to James C. CASH to wit 3 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne on left side of bayou going down, bounded above by land of Guillaume BERGERON and below by land of Leandre B. THIBODAUX, with such depth as Spanish grant calls for. This is the same land as above #123. Sold land for $700.00. Witnessed by Henry M. THIBODAUX and Pierre GAUTIER.

No. 125 Pg. 50 On May 9, 1823 Ursin Joseph PREVOST alias COLLET gave power of attorney to Ursin CARLIN, to sell to his mother Henriette BOLEL, wife of Joseph PREVOST alias COLLET Senior, a certain negro woman about 16 years old and her child 3 months old, that he purchased in St. Martin Parish for $300.00. Witnessed by Leufroy BARRAS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 126 Pg. 52 On April 10, 1823 Heirs of Pierre GUIDRY alias Pierrot JANVIER gave power of attorney to Henry M. THIBODAUX. Marguerite BERGERON, widow of Pierre GUIDRY alias Pierrot JANVIER deceased and now wife of Jean Bte. BEAUSERGEANT, Henry S. THIBODAUX, as curator of Marie Pauline, as guardian or tutor of Napoleon, Marie Magdeleine, Alexandre and Clemence GUIDRY do appoint Henry Michel THIBODAUX as their lawful and legal Attorney. Witnessed by Pierre.GAUTIER and L. DARBOIS.

No. 127 Pg. 54 On April 13, 1823 Jean Charles TERRIOT Sr. sold or exchanged with Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL a.certain mulatto girl, of the age about 18 years, named Jeanne, she being the same slave he sold to Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS # 119, exchanged for a certain negro girl, of the age of about 19-20 years, named Diana. Same slave Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL purchased of Pierre MARTEL from New Orleans. Witnessed by Louis DARBOIS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 128 Pg. 56 On April 13, 1823 Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL sold to Francis M. GUYOL a certain mulatto girl of the age of about 18 years, named Jeanne. She being the same slave as purchased this day of Jean C. TERRIOT # 127. Witnessed by Leufroy BARRAS and N. J. F. LAUZIN.

No. 129 Pg. 58 On April 14, 1823 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Joseph CLOUAT to wit 3 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne on each side, with such depth as the Spanish Grant or Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of Thomas FITCH and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX for $600.00. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 130 Pg. 59 On April 14, 1823 Joseph CLOUAT sold 1st. his crop now standing and growing at his residence in Lafourche Interior, to cultivate and gather it in and deliver to H. S. THIBODAUX. 2nd. a horse of the age about 5 years, red with a star on forehead, branded on the shoulder "I C". This is to make the $200.00 down payment for land he purchased of H. S. THIBODAUX. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 131 Pg. 60 On April 14, 1823 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Jean Pierre PITRE to wit; 3 Arpens fronting on each side of Bayou Terrebonne with depth as the Spanish grant or Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of Joseph CLOUAT and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX for $600.00. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 132 Pg. 62 On April 14, 1823 Jean Pierre PITRE sold to Henry S. THIBODAUX 1st. his crop now standing and growing at his residence in Lafourche Interior, to cultivate, harvest and deliver to Henry S. THIBODAUX. 2nd. a black horse of the age of about 7 years branded on the left thigh thus "U". This sale is to make $200.00 down payment for land purchased above. And furthermore for debt of $30.00 an Indian cornmill, to be moved by horses, and standing at my place of residence. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 133 Pg. 63 On May 19, 1823 Lazare HERNANDEZ recieved $530.00 from Henry S. THIBODAUX for a certain note or settlement of account between parties aforesaid. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Pre. GAUTIER.

No. 134 Pg. 64 On May 19, 1823 Pierre GAUTHIER agreed to provide labor to build a barn, 30 feet wide and 70 feet long, with 3 sections, one for corn, one as a stable and one as a bay barn for $500.00, for Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL, with him furnishing all the materials. Living expenses will be deducted from the $500.00 when contract is complete next March. Witnessed by Henry S. THIBODAUX and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 135 Pg. 67 On June 10, 1823 Asahel GROS gave power of attorney to Elnathan POPE, of the town of Farmington, County of Kennebec, in State of Maine, to tend to his estate, right, title, claim, interest or demand whatsoever, of, and unto any of the said premises in State of Maine. Witnessed byAaron HAINS and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 136 Pg. 69 On June 11, 1823 Jean Charles TERRIOT sold to Joseph Paul BOURGEOIS and wife Eugenie THIBODAUX a certain negro woman about 19 or 20 years old, being the same Diana exchanged with Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL # 127 for $100.00 at their own risk and peril respectively, no warrant against, or of the diseases described by law. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Louis DARBOIS.

No. 137 Pg. 71 On December 16, 1822 Lloyd GILBERT of East Baton Rouge Parish sold land to Gabriel WINTER of Natchez, Mississippi for $3600.00 to wit a tract of land, lately owned by Walker GILBERT deceased, fronting on Bayou Terrebonne between land now owned by Jacques VERRET on the lower side and Nathan MARIMA on the upper side, with usual depth of 40 Arpens and containing 800 superficial Arpens. Witnessed by Edw. HANTON. Signed by Lloyd GILBERT at Adams County, State of Mississippi, and J. BAYNTON, notary Public.

No. 138 Pg. 73 On June 12, 1823 Attorney James PORTER for Gabriel WINTER sold land to Henry S. THIBODAUX a certain tract of land situate in Terrebonne Parish to wit; 10 Arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne between the land now owned by said Henry S. THIBODAUX and before by Jacques VERRET on the lower side and the land of Nathan MARINA on the upper side for $7000.00 over several years. Witnessed by Pierre GAUTIER and Leufroy BARRAS. New Orleans February 15, 1823 Power of attorney Gabriel WINTER to James PORTER for selling tract of land to Henry S. THIBODAUX.

No. 139 Pg. 76 On June 16, 1823 Jean Charles TERRIOT pere sold to Aubin B. THIBODAUX a certain negro girl., of the age of about 30 years, named Zemire, she being same purchased from Pierre MOLAISON, of the parish of Lafourche Interior, by deed dated June 14, 1823 exchanged for a certain negro girl of the age of about 16 years, named Catherine, being the same purchased of Henry S. THIBODAUX of this parish. Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Ambroise DUGAS.

No. 140 Pg. 78 On June 16, 1823 at a family meeting of Widow Pierre MENOULD and minors, Probate #15 to wit; Marie. Rose MENOULD, widow of said Pierre MENOULD, Claire MENOULD with authorization of her husband Francois ROGER, Elise MENOULD, Francois LEGENDRE, as curator ad lites of Pierre MENOULD, Hubert MENOULD and Arsene MENOULD and as above turor of Henry MENOULD and relatives Alexis LEJEUNE and Jean Marie TRAHAN to wit Rose MENOULD and heirs, a tract of land in Terrebonne Parish, on Bayou Terrebonne, below Bayou Cannes, this being one half of a claim of 640 Acres superficial.measure, 20 Arpens front to such depth as Spanish Grant or Certificate of Confirmation calls for, reference Register and Recievers Office # 419. The other half is property of Alexis LEJEUNE. That the moiety hereby belonging to said Alexis LEJEUNE shall and will be located touching to the stake or lower boundery common to him and Pierre CAZEAUX, thence running up to a stake to be fixed and put in the ground at the middle way between the boundery or stake known as the upper boundery of said claim. Widow conveys 3 Arpens starting at upper boundery of land of Alexis LEJEUNE, running up to Henry MENOULD, next 3 Arpens to Arsene MENOULD, next 3 Arpens to Hubert MENOULD, next 3 Arpens to Pierre MENOULD, next 3 Arpens to Elise MENOULD and next 3 Arpens to Claire MENOULD, wife of Francois ROGER, all on each side of Bayou Terrebonne. Remaining land to be property of Marie Rose for her sole and proper use and abandon the rest of claim # 616 to H. S. THIBODAUX. Witnessed by Ambroise DUGAS and Aaron HAINS.

No. 141 Pg. 82 On June 27, 1823 Francois THIBODAUX, Jr. sold land to Brigitte GUERIN, wife of Fois THIBODAUX, Sr. to wit; 1 1/2 Arpens front on Bayou Terrebonne on right side, bounded above by land of Joseph THIBODAUX and below by land of Pierre J. THIBODAUX, being 1/2 of the same purchased from H. S. THIBODAUX by deed # 29 on June 9, 1822. Witnessed by Aaron HAINS and Bernard E. HAINS.

No. 142 Pg. 85 On July 7, 1823 Francois MALBOROUGH exchanged land with Jean Baptiste BOUDROT, Jr. to wit ;3 Arpens fronting on right side of Bayou Terrebonne going down, with such depth as the concession or certificate of confirmation calls for on that side of bayou, bounded above by land of Colas MALBOROUGH and below by land of Francois MALBOROUGH, Exchanged for 3 Arpens fronting on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, going down, bounded above by land of Francois MALBOROUGH and below by land of William HAMMOND, to depth the certificate of confirmation calls for. Witnessed by William HAMMOND and Henry M. THIBODAUX.

No. 143 Pg. 86 On July 7, 1823 Jean Bte. BOUDROT, Jr. sold land to Michel BERNARD for $600.00, the same land he acquired this day by deed # 142 to wit; 3 Arpens fronting on right side of Bayou Terrebonne to depth Certificate of confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of Colas MALBOROUGH and below by land of Francois MALBOROUGH. Witnessed by Henry M. THIBODAUX and Ambrose DUGAS.
